# Early Access Gate

Zest uses an invite-only access system during private beta.

## How it works

1. You redeem an invite code (`ZEST-XXXX-XXXX`) at `/access`
2. The server creates an `ea_access` **httpOnly cookie** bound to your wallet address
3. Every page and API route checks this cookie server-side before loading
4. Unauthenticated requests are redirected to `/access`

## Cookie properties

| Secure   | ✅ Yes — HTTPS only in production  |
| SameSite | Lax                               |
| Lifetime | 90 days                           |
| Binding  | Your wallet address               |

## Session behavior

* Cookie persists 90 days and auto-renews on each session
* Reconnecting your original wallet restores your session immediately
* Disconnecting wallet does **not** invalidate the cookie
* To fully log out: use the logout button which explicitly clears the cookie from the server

## Wallet switching

If you connect a different wallet:

* Read access remains (cookie is still valid)
* Write transactions (swaps, stakes, etc.) will fail if the new wallet has no grant
* Solution: reconnect the original wallet, or redeem a new code with the new wallet
